Yes, this is compatible with iPad Air 13″ (2024).
Yes, magnets in the back case line up with magnets in the cover to allow you to securely snap the case into place, providing a stable stand in raised screen view, landscape, and portrait modes during use.
To connect to Bluetooth, first press Fn + B for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode. Once in pairing mode, go to Settings > Bluetooth > Other Devices > Connect to “ESR Keyboard”. Check out the video for full instructions on connecting your keyboard.
Yes, just press the backlight key to adjust the brightness level between high, medium, low, or off.
When the trackpad is not responding, you have to disable AssistiveTouch. To disable, go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch > Turn off “AssistiveTouch”.

I just got the new iPad Air 13 inch and needed something to protect it, but also wanted a keyboard/trackpad to use it with from time to time while not spending an extra $350+ on they Apple version. This literally checked all the boxes for me so I went with it. I guess I wasn’t expecting the quality? It just kind of took me by surprise. The keys feel really nice to type on, the trackpad is super smooth, the backlit keyboard is bright AND has different colors AND has a dedicated function row at the top?! I guess I didn’t look too much into the specs before ordering. The magnetic hold is strong too, so I know it’s not going anywhere. What I love most though, is when I don’t want to use the keyboard and just go portable, I know it’s still protected because of the included detachable case to put your iPad in. Another little benefit that I personally love, but some of you might not care, is when it connects via Bluetooth, if you have the battery widget on your Home Screen it will show you the battery status. (You can see this in the included photo.) I honestly find it difficult to believe you will find a better deal with this quality elsewhere, and will 100% be looking into ESR products in the future.

Overall, I believe this is a solid product that performs all the functions of a Magic Keyboard. The keyboard itself is very responsive and satisfying to type on. However, the trackpad occasionally lags, which can be noticeable at times. Despite this, it’s a great product for the price, and the detachable keyboard was a key factor for me. It provides peace of mind when taking notes, as I don’t have to worry about the iPad getting scratched.

I like that you can switch landscape to portrait for the ipad. My one disappointment with the keyboard is how weak the base is. It works best to hold or move, with it closed than with the holding the keyboard alone. The base is quite slim compared to the ipad so it bends slightly if you were to hold it by the keyboard and not the ipad.

What I like about this device is that it looks good and has a solid feel to it.It is not flimsy at all. I got this device two months ago and waited for a while to see if my impression or usage would make it not like it.So far, I like it.I have had the other keyboards from other manufacturers, but when I upgraded to the new ipad, this fit the bill. None of those keyboards allowed a portrait mode and I somehow felt that others have missed the boat on that feature. This unit allows you to keep it in portrait mode.I was initially not sure if it would take the multiple opening and closing – was worried about the hinge part- but it lasted well and does not show any issue at all.The overlapping clasp makes it another worthwhile feature- ensures that my pencil does not fall off ( no matter how magnetic it is).Happy with the purchase !!

After reading all the comments and reviews I have mentally prepared for all the trade off, such as the heavier weight, slight lag on Bluetooth connection and seperate charging, but I truly didn’t realize how much I miss haptic feedback until I have to physically click the trackpad each time that comes with an annoying sound.L(I love this keyboard and i think the significant cheaper price with extra case protection and vertical view make it a very compelling product. If the trackpad comes with the haptic feedback, I think the user experience can even greatly outshine the Magic Keyboard!
